金曙平，女，教授，博士生导师，1963年7月毕业于复旦大学物理二系。毕业后在国防科委第21研究所（现西北核技术研究所）从事科研工作，1978年初调入中国科学技术大学地球与空间科学系，历任讲师、副教授、教授。从事空间物理教学与科研工作多年，曾荣获“上海贝尔教学奖”一等奖。1990年5月－1991年7月，1994年10月－1995年3月，1999年8月－1999年11月三次受德国马普学会邀请任客座研究员，在Max-Planck高空大气所从事合作研究。

研究方向及科研成果

研究方向：日地能量耦合、磁层亚暴、太阳与磁层活动现象研究，磁场重联，无碰撞磁场重联，Hall电流及电子压力梯度效应研究。

科研成果：在磁场重联、磁层与太阳活动现象的研究工作中取得具有国际先进水平的研究成果，率先给出重联区域内温度、密度分布及其随时间的演化。首先提出临界磁雷诺数概念，研究结果所展现的高磁雷诺数长电流片的非稳态重联，引起国际著名学者关注。通过数值模拟展示了通量传输和太阳大气中爆发事件的观测特征，在探讨这些事件观测特征的物理机理方面作出了有价值的贡献，所发表论文在国内外重要刊物上多次被引用，国际同行权威人士在评论文章中曾予以详细评述与充分肯定。“磁场重联的数值研究”荣获96年度安徽省教委科技进步一等奖和97年度中国科学院自然科学二等奖（排名第一）。最近关于磁层亚暴期间磁尾多重等离子体团的2.5维MHD模拟，取得了出色成果，研究论文已在J.Geophys.Res.发表，该论文在认知磁尾等离子体团丰富的观测资料方面，具有重要的科学意义，受到国内外同行的好评。承担国家自然科学基金面上项目，合作参与国家自然科学基金重点项目、重大项目多项。
